Who Am I?

Hi there! I’m Dominic Barry, and I own and operate DB Fit and created the Foundations of Muscle Program.

I’m not just a fitness coach. I’m someone who has been exactly where you are, and who understands how frustrating and isolating it can be to work hard and see almost no results.  
When I first started my fitness journey, I looked up to a lot of popular fitness gurus. I didn’t have anyone in my corner to talk to or get advice from, so I needed guidance. Online “fit-fluencers” were my only windows into the fitness world and I trusted them.

So many “fitness gurus” online make it look easy. They sell unreliable and overpriced programs and advertise sponsored supplements, but they never actually want their followers to get results. After all, if their followers got results, they wouldn’t have to follow them anymore, right?

No matter how hard I worked or how closely I followed the guidance of online fitness influencers, I never actually saw the results I wanted. I kept winding up at square one over and over again. 
It was only when I started talking to other fitness enthusiasts in my own community, simplifying my movements, and adjusting my nutrition that the results truly started to show up. Once I cut through the influencer noise, it was easy.

So easy, in fact, that I realized I could teach others to do the same. I’m not here to sell you a one-size-fits-all program for hundreds of dollars or to ask you to use my discount code for protein powder or fat loss supplements.

I’m here to offer you results that you can see and a community of other fitness enthusiasts who will be there to support you every step of the way. 
Again, all for a fraction of the cost. I’m not trying to get rich off of this. I’m trying to help other people in the gay community get the results they’ve been working so hard for without any distractions or bells and whistles. 
I’ll take your goals into consideration when I’m creating your personalized plan. Whether you’re aiming for weight loss, muscle growth, or both, I’ll help you get there. Because this is a monthly subscription instead of a one-and-done purchase, you’ll also be able to chat with me if your goals change or if you think something isn’t working. 
In other words, I won’t leave you hanging. We’re in this together.

Honestly, the most valuable thing that I have to offer you isn’t even the fitness plan itself. It’s the community that I’ve fostered of other fitness enthusiasts who are all working hard and supporting each other. 
Sometimes being a part of the fitness community doesn’t feel like you’re in a community at all. It can be isolating, especially at the gym. It can be hard to find a genuine fitness community if you’re not taking classes, and even those classes aren’t always as friendly as they should be.
I wanted to create a space that would have benefited my younger self. Teenage me would have loved a community of supportive guys who all have the same goal as I do: to get ripped.

Not Just a Workout Program

It’s a Recipe
Look, there are plenty of awesome pre-packaged fitness programs out there that may help you get results, but that’s not what I’m offering. 
I’m dedicated to helping other people in the male fitness community get the best and quickest results possible in a healthy and sustainable way. I create custom exercise and diet plans for all of my clients. There’s no such thing as an effective one-size-fits-all program because all bodies are different. 
I don’t just give you a list of exercises and send you off on your own. I’ll tell you exactly what to do, how to do it, and how many reps and sets you need for the best and most efficient results. I’m taking my 14 years of fitness experience and breaking it down into simple steps that anyone can follow.
